Wat betekent hyfen?
Hyfen zijn schimmeldraden. Het netwerk van al deze draden van een schimmel wordt ook wel zwamvlok of mycelium genoemd. Vaak bevindt de zwamvlok zich ondergronds. Bij de truffels zit het vruchtlichaam ook ondergronds.
Hoe werkt mycelium?
Een mycelium is een netwerk van schimmeldraden, of hyfen. Mycelia groeien vaak onder de grond, maar kunnen ook op andere ondergronden groeien, zoals in rottende boomstammen. Eén enkele spore kan al uitgroeien tot een mycelium. Uit het mycelium kunnen de vruchtlichamen van schimmels, zoals paddenstoelen, groeien.
Wat te doen tegen een Gistinfectie?
