How to use Krita?

Create a new document. Open up a new document by going to File>New.

Become familiar with the left Toolbar. On the left-hand side is the Toolbar.

Get to know the right Toolbar. On the right-hand toolbar is the Advanced Color Selector,Layers panel,and Brush Presets.

Access the Brush toolbar.

Save your image.

Is there a tablet version of Krita?

Thanks to the hard work of Sharaf Zaman, Krita is now available in the Google Play Store for Android tablets and Chromebooks ( not for Android phones). This beta, based on Krita 4.2.9, is the full desktop version of Krita, so it doesn’t have a special touch user interface. But it’s there, and you can play with it.

Is Krita safe to use?

This makes things easy to install and uninstall and can be more secure, though in the case of Krita either way of downloading it is safe. Krita is a powerful app that any digital creator should at least take a look at.

Now, we recently discovered that Avast anti-virus has decided that Krita 2.9.9 is malware. We don’t know why this is happening, but as long as you get Krita from the Krita.org website it shouldn’t have any viruses.

Is Krita a virus?

Yes, Krita is absolutely safe. The virus warning is a false alarm that we already reported. But in general, on Windows 7 and up, there’s no need for anything else than an up-to-date Windows Defender. All other antivirus applications are superfluous at best, and dangerous at worst.
