Wat is een lycra stof?
Het is een merknaam voor elastomeer garen, dit zijn enorm rekbare garens van een synthetisch rubber. Lycra zelf is doorzichtig. Tegenwoordig gebruiken we de naam lycra ook vaak voor hele rekbare stoffen. Lycra wordt vaak gemaakt van polyester of polyamide met een hoog percentage elastische garens, soms wel 20%.
Wat is 100% Pe?
Polyester (PES/PL) is de meest gebruikte kunstvezel. Zoals de meeste kunstvezels is polyester goed te reinigen. Ook kan polyester goed tegen zonlicht en kreukt het bijna niet. Polyester kan wat statisch en minder vriendelijk aanvoelen dan bijvoorbeeld katoen.

Hoe wordt Lycra gemaakt?
Als we kritisch kijken naar Lycra, dan is Lycra geen stof maar een garen. Lycra is namelijk de officiële merknaam van elastomeer garen; heel rekbaar garen dat wordt gemaakt van synthetisch rubber. Andere merknamen die we gebruiken voor deze soort garens zijn bijvoorbeeld Elastan en Spandex.
Wat betekent 100 co?
AC = Acetaat. BA = Bamboe. CO/KA = Katoen. CUP = Cupro.
Wat is PES leer?

Does lycra have nylon in it?
Lycra is a tradename of a fabric developed by Dupont. Lycra does have a component of Nylon to it. Companies may use Lycra or Nylon Spandex or another combination of the same fabrics which they tradename such as Ultraspan as an Outer Skin to a Neoprene. I will group Lycra and Ultraspan together since they are similar.
Is lycra resistant to heat?
Unlike many other types of synthetic fabrics, Lycra is highly resistant to heat, and it was quickly recognized as an excellent addition to heat-sensitive synthetics like polyester and nylon.
What is the difference between elastane and Lycra?
Since the early days of Lycra fabric production, the incredible elasticity of this substance has been noted as being highly desirable in certain consumer apparel markets, but elastane fabrics are very rarely marketed on their own. Instead, this fabric is usually woven into other types of textiles to increase their overall elasticity.
What are strands of nylon used for?
Strands are sometimes used by themselves (for example, in the manufacture of stockings) and sometimes tens, hundreds, or even thousands are wrapped together to make thicker and stronger yarns (similar to cotton but far stronger).
