Is een vlindermes trainer legaal in Nederland?
Ja, een trainer is verboden. Het is een ongeslepen mes met afgeronde punt die gebruikt wordt voor oefeningen bij vechtsporten. Deze kan van metaal zijn, maar is meestal van rubber. Het wordt ook wel eens een bot oefenvlindermes genoemd.
Is zakmes legaal?
Als het een opvouwbaar mes is met maar 1 snijkant en deze uitgevouwen niet langer dan 28 cm is, is het toegestaan. Stiletto’s, vlindermessen en valmessen zijn geen zakmessen en zijn streng verboden.
Is een Karambit legaal in Nederland?
Een Karambit mes is niet verboden als het mes niet aan twee kanten een snijgedeelte heeft of (in uitgevouwen toestand) niet langer dan 27 centimeter is. Het Karambit mes kan door feiten en omstandigheden van aantreffen wel onder de Wet Wapens en Munitie categorie 4 vallen. Bijvoorbeeld als het als wapen wordt gebruikt.
Waar mag je geen zakmes hebben?
Een zakmesje mag in de meeste gevallen wel, maar niet als je bijvoorbeeld in de kroeg, of in een voetbalstadion bent. Messen, zoals stiletto’s, valmessen en vlindermessen zijn strikt verboden. Heb je een valmes, vlindermes of stiletto op zak, dan krijg je een boete.

Can you carry a balisong as a weapon?
Don’t carry any sort of balisong, even a trainer. It’s useless for any practical purpose, if you use it as a defensive weapon someone may decide to fight you anyway at which point you just brought a blunt, pointless training toy to a knife fight, and if you get picked up for any reason the police will not like it.

The Prodigy can only currently be found on the secondary market but there are many places you can get it, such as on the r/balisong Subreddit and the Instagram hashtag #balisongsale. The Prodigy is an amazing trainer and pushes what a trainer can be to the limits.
