Hoe gebruik je Plex?
Hoe werkt het Zodra je de gratis en gebruiksvriendelijke software hebt gedownload op het toestel waar je je bestanden opslaat (meestal is dit een computer of externe harde schijf), hoef jij niets meer te doen. Plex scant je bestanden en ordent ze daarna zodanig dat jij ze intuïtief terugvindt in je Plex-bibliotheek.
Welke series op Plex?
Plex noemt naast het aanbieden van films en tv-shows ook nieuwsuitzendingen, webshows en podcasts als typen content die deel zullen uitmaken van de streamingdienst. Het gaat in ieder geval om films als American Ultra, Frequency, Lord of War, Rain Man, Raging Bull, The Terminator, Thelma & Louise en Apocalypse Now.
Waarom Plex gebruiken?
Met Plex kunt u mediabestanden naar andere apparaten streamen die met behulp van de te installeren Plex-app met uw netwerk zijn verbonden. Plex is compatibel met diverse apparaten omdat het uw media formatteert en op de functies van andere apparaten afstemt.
Wat speelt Plex af?
Met de app van Plex hoef je niet langer te switchen tussen verschillende apps voor je nieuwsvoorziening, podcasts, muziek, series of filmpjes. Plex biedt gratis een behoorlijke hoeveelheid films, series, documentaires en webseries gratis aan.
Welke bestanden speelt Plex?
Plex Media Server ondersteunt veel bestandsformaten; voor video bijvoorbeeld populaire formaten als mkv, mp4, mov en avi. Ook video’s in 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) met de H. 264 (avc) of H. 265 (hevc) codec worden ondersteund, mits je computer krachtig genoeg is om ze te decoderen.

Hoe media toevoegen aan Plex?
Media toevoegen Om van start te gaan ga je met je muis over ‘Bibliotheken’ en klik je op het ‘+-teken’. Hierna krijg je de keuze wat je graag wil toevoegen: ‘Films’, ‘TV-Series’, ‘Muziek’, ‘Foto’s’ of ‘Home-video’s’. Kies hier een type naar keuze, geef de bibliotheek een naam en klik op ‘Volgende’.
Is it illegal to use Plex?
While the use of Plex isn’t itself illegal, Plex has made the illegal viewing of copyrighted content easier. Also, Plex allows you to stream your content to as many people as you like.

News, web shows, and podcasts are all free and legal to stream on Plex. Also, a Movies & TV streaming service that includes over 20,000 free on-demand movies is now built into Plex.
What does Plex look like like?
It looks a little like Netflix. Except, all of the content is custom, tailored by the person running the server. In the company’s words, both pieces of its software are “the key to personal media bliss.” What Plex doesn’t say, however, is how that bliss is achieved.
