Hoe ging je van West-Berlijn naar West Duitsland?
Voor het luchtverkeer naar West-Berlijn werd gebruikgemaakt van drie luchtwegen. Naast dat het de snelste manier was om West-Berlijn te bereiken, was het tevens de enige manier om zonder DDR-controles West-Berlijn te bereiken. Alleen geallieerde luchtvaartmaatschappijen mochten vliegen op West-Berlijn.

De DDR blijft economisch achter op de BRD en daarom vluchten veel mensen via Berlijn naar het vrije westen. In Berlijn is de grens namelijk gewoon open. Deze situatie is onhoudbaar en daarom bouwen de Oost-Duitse machthebbers de Berlijnse Muur.

Many people moved to West Berlin from towns in the West that they found to be too stuffy and cramped and pursued alternative lifestyles that would have been unthinkable elsewhere in West Germany.
