Chi-Chi never forgot about Goku or the promise he made her, even if he didn’t quite understand what marriage was. Goku first met Chi-Chi in the original Dragon Ball series. Goku was only concerned with training with Master Roshi and his friends. He considered Chi-Chi a good friend but was clueless about her romantic feelings for him.
