Een goede stage 1 chiptuning kost tussen de 200 en 400 euro. Onder de 200 euro is het lastig om goede tuning te doen, aangezien er 2 tot 4 uur duurt om uit te voeren. Ook is er specialistische kennis nodig om goede chiptuning uit te voeren.
