In terms of hardware potential, the Wii is way past the PS2. Hell even the GameCube was more powerful than the PS2. The Wii is supposedly even a little better than the original Xbox. However, that doesn’t count for much considering the lack of graphical quality of the Wii’s games.

No, there is no PS2 emulator for Wii, and it’s never going to happen. This Wii is just not strong enough to emulate it. There is however a PSX emulator coming out. it’s like saying “Can I emulate an Xbox on my Wii?”

The Wii’s total current sales number can be broken down to just over 14 million units sold per year for the 7 years it was in production. If you do the same for the PlayStation 2, it comes out to just under 13 million units sold per year for the nearly 13 years the system was in production.
