In order to evolve your Onix into Steelix, you’ll need an item called Metal Coat. Once your Onix is holding the Metal Coat, trading it will trigger the evolution into Steelix.

How do you evolve haunter?
In order to evolve Haunter you will have to trade him to another trainer. This has to be an actual real person, there is no AI that you can trade with. You can get lucky sometimes with the Mystery Trade, but that is super random.
