Unlike previous games, the shoes in HeartGold and SoulSilver can be automatically enabled by clicking the shoe icon that appears on the touch screen. With your character no longer walking at a snail’s pace, you can now heal your Pokemon and buy healing items at the Pokemart, although Pokeballs are not yet available.
