What does it mean when a Pokemon Flinch?
Flinch is a single turn condition that can be inflicted upon a Pokémon. When a Pokémon flinches, it can not make it’s move as it normally would be able to. Some items, such as the King’s Rock, give the Pokémon a chance of causing the foe to flinch upon inflicting damage.
What moves cause flinching?
Most moves that cause flinching are physical moves . Pokémon with Steadfast gain Speed each time they flinch. A Pokémon holding a King’s Rock has a 12% chance of causing a target to flinch when using certain moves.
What Pokemon have a 10% Flinch chance?
In Generation VI any move used by a Pokemon holding the Razor Fang or King’s Rock will have a 10% chance to flinch, if the move doesn’t already have a flinch chance. This changed a little in earlier Generations, though.
Why can’t frozen Pokemon Flinch?
In this generation only, sleeping and frozen Pokémon cannot flinch when hit by moves that cause flinching (but can flinch via King’s Rock), and are thus able to successfully execute Sleep Talk or Snore regardless.
