Wat is een thread count?
Wat betekent Thread Count (TC)? De draadtelling (CT) – ook wel weefdichtheid genoemd – geeft het aantal gebruikte draden per vierkante inch aan. Omdat Kepri Cotton alleen de beste katoenvezels gebruikt, kunnen we 400 TC aanbieden voor onze percale geweven kwaliteit en 500 TC voor onze satijn geweven katoenkwaliteit.
Wat betekent 400TC?
Getwijnd garen waarbij 2 of 3 draden in elkaar gedraaid worden zijn niet zachter dan enkelvoudig garen, maar tellen wel mee voor de draaddichtheid. Bij Schering & Inslag vind je beddengoed van enkelvoudig garen met een draaddichtheid van 400TC, gemaakt in Portugal.
Hoeveel draads katoen?
Thread count, ook wel draadtelling of draaddichtheid genoemd, is simpel gezegd het aantal katoendraden dat is geweven binnen één vierkante centimeter stof. Zowel de horizontale draad (de inslag) als de verticale draad (de schering) worden hierbij geteld.

If the thread count is 1000, it means 500 threads are running vertically and 500 threads are running horizontally. This is a lot of threads. Fabric this dense would mean you’d need to “break-in” your sheets. They’d be heavy and durable but would take a long time to become enjoyable.
