Which is better Matterhorn or Jungfrau?
I personally prefer the Matterhorn to Jungfrau. Both are awesome but the Matterhorn and Zermatt are stunning. The glacier paradise is perhaps better at Junfrau and the train ride up to Jungfraujoch is great but the Matterhorn is one place that I would personally recommend everyone visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Is Jungfraujoch open in September?
As Lucas noted, all the attractions are still open until end of first week October, some through middle October. I would tend to recommend last week September over October if you can do that.
How long does the Jungfrau train take?
From Kleine Scheidegg, the Jungfraubahn trains go through the mountain to Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe station. Total traveling time is just over two hours.
Is it better to stay in Murren or Wengen?
Both Wengen and Mürren are car-free mountain villages that are located in the Lauterbrunnen valley. Both have pros and cons if you decide to stay there for a while. In a choice between Wengen and Mürren, I would definitely choose Wengen. It’s easier to reach Wengen from Lauterbrunnen than Mürren.
