Why can’t I join my friend on Civ 6?
Make sure that the game is closed. Open File Explorer and navigate to Documents / My Games / Sid Meier’s Civilization VI (or another release). Select the following folders and right-click > Delete logs, dumps, cache, moduserdata, packageddumps. Restart the game and see if you’re able to join a multiplayer session.
Turning that on tells Civ 6 to use your crap the way you want it to. It actually does something slightly different than CFX or SLI, it splits the screen into pieces and gives each piece to a card to render, whereas SLI usually has each card draw a consecutive frame.

No idea about MP lag, personally. no team setups in multi or single player and in single player the AI’s invariably gang up on you even if you are aiding one of them
