Hoe krijg je een Teelbalontsteking?
Meestal is een bacterie of virus de oorzaak van een teelbalontsteking. Deze krijg je bijvoorbeeld door seksueel contact met iemand die besmet is met een seksueel overdraagbare aandoening (soa), zoals chlamydia, gonorroe of syfilis. Tijdens het vrijen kun je de bacterie overdragen aan de ander.
Waarom doen mijn teelballen pijn?
Ga meteen naar een dokter of spoeddienst bij plotse, hevige pijn in een teelbal. Het kan gaan om teelbaltorsie of een liesbreuk. Opgezwollen teelballen of pijn aan de balzak kunnen ook minder ernstige oorzaken hebben.
