Hoe schadelijk is BHT?
Ook *BHA, *BHT, *parabenen en parfum zijn chemische stoffen die op de lange termijn onze huid, weefsels en organen kunnen aantasten. Deze stoffen worden vooral veel gebruikt in lippenstift, hydraterende crèmes en andere cosmetica. Daarnaast worden ze ook veel gebruikt om voeding te conserveren.
Wat doet BHT?
BHT is een antioxidant. Producenten voegen het toe aan persoonlijke verzorgingsproducten om de houdbaarheid te verlengen. Het zit bijvoorbeeld in shampoo, deodorant en zonnebrandcrème. In voedingsmiddelen wordt het onder E-nummer E321 gebruikt, ook om producten langer houdbaar te maken.
Wat is E 321?
BHT is een synthetische antioxidant dat op verpakkingen vaak vermeld staat als E321. De stof wordt in de levensmiddelenindustrie gebruikt om ranzigheid en bederf van vetten tegen te gaan.
Wat is BHA en BHT?
BHA (butylhydroxyanisol) en BHT (butylhydroxytolueen) zijn twee toevoegingsmiddelen die oxidatie van vetten, verkleuring en overige veranderingen in de eigenschappen van producten, waaraan zij worden toegevoegd, voorkomen.
Is phenoxyethanol schadelijk?
In hoge hoeveelheden kan phenoxyethanol schadelijk en irriterend zijn. In hoeveelheden waarin het in babydoekjes zit, zou het wettelijk gezien veilig moeten zijn. Er mag maximaal 1% van de chemische stof in persoonlijke verzorgingsproducten zitten. Als er meer in zit, moet dat vermeld worden.
Is Ethylhexyl stearate veilig?

Welke ingrediënten vermijden in Skincare?
