Is Lost Planet local co-op?
This week’s Famitsu (via Andriasang) confirms Capcom’s Lost Planet 2 will include offline split-screen co-op when it releases May 18. Series producer Jun Takeuchi told Joystiq last year at GamesCom that the developer was working on couch co-op for the game, which already features four player online co-op.

As some of you Lost Planet fans may already know, producer Jun Takeuchi has in the past said that Capcom was hoping to get split screen offline co-op into the game. Split screen in Lost Planet 2 will only be supported in two player play of the game’s campaign mode.
