Mineplex is the most popular and the largest Minecraft server before. Mineplex also won the Most Popular Minecraft Server Network of Guinness World Records. It proves that Mineplex has a very good foundation and fun games so a lot of players would like to play on Mineplex.
Is Mineplex better than Hypixel?
Mineplex is def a way better community-oriented server and adding more games or fixing current games that create a base to interaction will def give MP a boost. The only reason people actually play hypixel is because of the bigger servers, less lag, and of course as ProMaster_ states Simon putting in time and effort.
Is Mineplex still a server?
The European network at eu.mineplex.com has been shut down in August 2019 for similar reasons (as announced here), however, players can still connect to the EU-based IP which will redirect them to the US servers. Free Servers were technically introduced the day Mineplex came out. Free Servers only allow access to the Free and Gem locked kits due to the EULA restriction regarding kits and how they may be made available. Therefore even ranked players must purchase the Gem locked kits despite their rank.
