Is RuneScape 3 a remake?
Although it’s gone through some changes in the last two decades, RuneScape is still very much playable in 2020. The original RuneScape released in 2001, but a newer version of the game, complete with an updated interface and better graphics, released in 2013 as RuneScape 3.
Does Osrs and RuneScape 3 share membership?
Answer: Yes. Old School is available to all paying members. You get full membership for both old school and RuneScape 3.
Is New RuneScape better than Osrs?
New Runescape is probably better for people who never played the old school version. The old school version is is more grindy compared to the new one so it really depends what you type of game you prefer.
Does RS3 require membership?
In order to become a member and access the pay-to-play version of RuneScape, players must first have a subscription. When players subscribe, they receive members credit which allows them to access the pay-to-play version of RuneScape.
Can you use the same account for OSRS and RS3?
Old School Runescape accounts are entirely separate from the RS3 accounts. Every player had to start fresh in OSRS when it was created. You can still use the same log-in information as the RS3 character, but nothing in-game is connected between the two game versions.

This means there are only 91k – 61k = 30k players playing RS3 – less than half the number of people playing OSRS. (note: this is a copy/paste of an older comment and the numbers are from when I made the original comment but generally OSRS has a lot more active players anyway.
Can you play Old School RuneScape on the same account?
