Is Sean Boswell in fast and furious 9?
So when fans see Sean back on the big screen in F9, it will be his first appearance in the series in more than five years. That may have been especially confusing for fans, because Lucas Black was originally signed on to play Sean in the seventh through ninth installments of the Fast and Furious franchise.

Why is Sean in Germany F9?
F9. Since the events of Tokyo Drift, Twinkie has found a way to make money by building cars for the Government and him, Earl and Sean have since taken residence in Germany where they do this.
Why didn’t Paul Walker Do Tokyo Drift?
Paul Walker wasn’t asked to return because the studio felt he was too old. The first draft of the script featured the return of Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto. This is only Fast and the Furious film not to star Paul Walker (prior to his death).
