Is Super Smash Bros Brawl violent?
Although the violence is cartoon violence, it is still violence. So while I recommend Brawl as an enjoyable game that can bring kids (and even their Dads) together, I think parents should take care to limit game play, and take action to ensure the violence in the game does not carry over into real life.

As Sakuria said, the events of the Smash Bros universe aren’t canon. The Smash Bros characters are a bunch of toys brought to life by the Master Hand’s imagination. The characters in Smash Bros still have all their memories from their past games, however. Just an alternate crossover universe.
Why was Super Smash Bros Brawl rated T?
Brawl was rated Teen for Cartoon Violence and Crude Humor, which hardly warrants a T IMO. Melee’s a little more forgivable since the E10+ rating didn’t exist at the time of it’s release.

A Great Game I’ve been playing this since I was at leat 8, which is the inly reason I say 8+. It’s nothing TOO violent, there’s no blood, so I could say it being E10+ at least.
