What is TF2 Highlander?
Highlander, a form of 9v9, is the largest competitive Team Fortress format. Its similarities to average public servers makes it an ideal starting point for new players, and its requirement that each team has one of every class means no matter what you like to play, there’s a spot on the team for you.
Does TF2 have ranked?
Each player has a rank which can be leveled up by performing well in competitive matches. Players must complete 10 placement matches in order to gain a rank, and can level the rank up as they win more matches. Players are ranked using a model based on the Glicko rating system used in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

What happened to TF2’s community?
Seasonal updates such as Smissmas have come on schedule, adding small doses of community-made content. Valve has also been quick to respond to hackers and in-game economic crashes that threatened to bomb the value of in-game items. It seems as though in the last four years of silence, the community surrounding TF2 has only grown.
Will there be a heavy update in TF2?
However, there is still supposedly an update in the works as one of the game’s major classes. The Heavy is meant to receive an update centered around giving the class new weapons and a general rework. However, if and when the Heavy update will drop isn’t important to the success of TF2. What is important is the community’s support of the game.
