Wat doet PFOS?
PFOS (perfluoroctaansulfonaten) is één chemische stof binnen de PFAS-groep, die gebruikt wordt om producten zoals textiel water- en vuilafstotend te maken. Via het afvalwater van fabrieken en bijvoorbeeld bij het naspoelen van blusschuim na een brand, komt de stof in de grond terecht.
Welke producten maakt 3M?
De fabriek is ISO9001-, ISO14001- en ISO50001-gecertificeerd en produceert half-afgewerkte producten o.a. voor andere 3M-vestigingen. Voorbeelden: lijmen voor Scotch® tapes, hoogwaardige synthetische rubbers voor de automobiel- en chemische industrie en koelmiddelen voor de elektronicasector.
