Wat is gebakken dim sum?
Het is een afgeleide van de Chinese dumplings of dim-sum. De Chinese versie wordt gestoomd. In Japan vinden we het lekker om de gyoza te bakken. Yaki-gyoza betekent dan ook “gebakken gyoza”.
Hoe dim sum eten?
Leg het in je kommetje dat je standaard krijgt als je aan tafel gaat, maar pak niet meer dan een of twee dingen tegelijk. Soms zijn de porties onhandig verdeeld, negen dumplings en acht personen bijvoorbeeld, dan moet je even vechten. Het allerfijnst van dimsum is dat je altijd meer kunt bestellen.
Waar kan ik gyoza kopen?
Als je een Toko of Aziatische supermarkt in de buurt hebt, kun je daar in de diepvries dumpling vellen kopen. Je hebt dan meteen een pakje met +/- 35 ronde vellen voor minder dan 2 euro.
