Wat is VS2?
Het verschil tussen VS1 en VS2 wordt bepaalt door de hoeveelheid, grootte en positie van de zeer kleine onzuiverheden. Bij beide soorten blijven de onzuiverheden onzichtbaar met het blote oog, maar een VS2 zal meer kleine of opvallende insluitsels vertonen dan een VS1.
Wat betekent VVS1?
Diamanten met zuiverheid VVS1 zijn zeer helder. VVS staat voor very very slightly included en deze hebben dus bijna geen inclusies. De inclusies op de diamant zijn met het blote oog niet waarneembaar en bevinden zich op het paviljoen.
Wat is Pique diamant?
Dit is de allerhoogste kwaliteit die men kan toekennen aan een diamant en deze is dan ook uiterst zeldzaam. Wanneer insluitsels met het blote oog worden waargenomen dan spreekt men van een piqué kwaliteit.

Both these grades of diamonds are clean to the naked eye and have almost no visible difference when looked at. VS diamonds can be graded as VS1 or VS2. These diamonds are Very Slightly included and have inclusions which can be viewed with a 10x magnification.
Should you buy a VS2 or si1 Diamond?
You might want to consider a VS2 or SI1 diamond if clarity is not your absolute priority, and you’re looking to stretch your budget a bit — to go up in carat weight, perhaps. A VS2 or SI1 diamond might also be an ideal option if you’ve decided on a diamond shape that hides inclusions well.
What is the difference between si1/si2 and vs1/vs2?
SI2 is a decent clarity grade in the 1 carat range, but should not be expected to be eye-clean in above 1.5 carat weight diamonds. If you are lucky, you might find SI2 carat diamonds in the 1 carat range that is 95-99% eye-clean. While VS1/VS2 are good investment grade ranges, SI1/SI2 are great budget options.
What does VS2 clarity mean on a diamond?
VS2 clarity means that a diamond is “very slightly included” and SI1 means that a diamond is “slightly included”. Included refers to the presence of imperfections, or inclusions, in the diamond and the grading basically tells you how big of an issue these inclusions are.
