Welk ziekenhuis is gespecialiseerd in ablatie?
In het St. Antonius Hartcentrum is onlangs de eerste patiënt behandeld met een nieuwe techniek voor complexe hartritmestoornissen / boezemfibrilleren. Tijdens deze behandeling wordt met een speciale katheter van binnenuit een 3D-afbeelding van het hart gemaakt.
Waar zit de pacemaker?
De pacemaker wordt vaak linksboven onder de huid geplaatst. Je krijgt meestal een plaatselijke verdoving en bent bij kennis. Wel krijg je pijnstillende en rustgevende medicijnen. Soms wordt de elektrode aan de buitenzijde van het hart geplaatst, dan is een hartoperatie onder volledige narcose nodig.
Wat is ablatie?
Een ablatie is een behandeling die we toepassen bij ernstige hartritmestoornissen, wanneer medicijnen niet voldoende werken. Met een speciale katheter verhitten of bevriezen we (cryo-ablatie) het stukje hartweefsel dat hartritmestoornissen veroorzaakt. Hierdoor schakelen we de hartritmestoornissen als het ware uit.
Is antistolling nodig na his ablatie?
U moet enkele uren, maar soms ook tot de volgende dag bedrust houden. Indien nodig wordt uw hartritme bewaakt. U krijgt na de behandeling gedurende minimaal 6 weken antistolling of een lage dosering acetylsalicylzuur (Aspirine®). Dit voorkomt dat er stolsels op de ablatie-littekens komen.
Waar beste ablatie?
De ablatie kan op verschillende plekken in het hart plaatsvinden. Dit hangt af van de hartritmestoornis. Soms schakelt de arts de plaats uit waar storende prikkels ontstaan. Soms gaat het om een extra verbinding of een bepaalde route die de stoornis veroorzaakt.
Wie komt in aanmerking voor pacemaker?
1. Wanneer kom je in aanmerking voor een pacemaker? Je komt in aanmerking voor een pacemaker als je hartritme om diverse redenen te langzaam is. Er zijn ook speciale pacemakers voor mensen met hartfalen die ervoor zorgen dat de linker- en rechterkamer tegelijk samentrekken.

Can ablative coated Batt be used as a load bearing seal?
Ablative Coated Batts are not intended for use as load-bearing seals. Where a load bearing seal is required, ROCKWOOL Firestop Compound should be considered. Ease of installation – the ROCKWOOL Ablative Coated batt can be easily cut to the size and shape required to fit the aperture and penetrations.
What is Rockwool ablative liquid?
Whilst adding greater fire protection and an aesthetic finish, ROCKWOOL Ablative Liquid adds to the performance of the stone wool slabs. In case of a fire, the ablative coatings releases water vapour which cools the surface and in conjunction with the stone wool slab assists to prevent the passage of fire, heat and smoke.
What are Batts and how do they work?
The Batts are simply cut and a bead of Acoustic Intumescent Sealant applied around the external edges. They are then friction fitted between the services and the wall or floor edges to completely seal the void.
