What is an artificer in DND?
Artificers are a spellcasting class, similar to a paladin or ranger. They gain access to new spell levels at half the rate that “full casters” like clerics, druids, and wizards do, but they make up for it by having a host of powerful class features to supplement their spellcasting.

To cast a spell, an artificer could use alchemist’s supplies to create a potent elixir, calligrapher’s supplies to inscribe a sigil of power on an ally’s armor, or tinker’s tools to craft a temporary charm. Are artificers One-Trick Pony?
However, they are far from a one-trick pony.
