What is health first Colorado?
Colorado Medicaid is now called Health First Colorado. The new name reflects the significant changes that have been made to modernize Colorado’s Medicaid program to engage members and improve the quality and coordination of care.
How has covid-19 affected Colorado’s health insurance programs?
The Department’s programs, including Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), covered nearly one in four Coloradans before the COVID-19 pandemic began. The Department anticipates as many as 500,000 more Coloradans will become Health First Colorado or CHP+ members before the end of the year.
