What race is Chell from Portal?
Her ethnic background is somewhat ambiguous; she appears to be of Latin or multiracial descent, and Valve concept artist Matt Charlesworth described her as having “a hint of Japanese ethnicity.” (Chell’s face and body model, Alésia Glidewell, has a Brazilian-American father and a Japanese mother.)
Is GLaDOS a personality core?
Developed by Aperture Science technicians, GLaDOS is the earliest known personality core – specifically designed for becoming the Enrichment Center’s overseer.
Why does Chell look different?
They explored changing her nationality, and tried to make her look less human due to the “constant dehumanization of these test subjects”. Being a test subject, Chell’s suit was designed to look neither sexy nor unattractive.

at the end you see the turrets deploy and 3 seconds before they start singing, in the game it states that the turrets have 3 seconds before firing, Chell is dead. Note: just to add on, Prometheus and Epimetheus created humanity, but Epimetheus (Wheatley) was useless.

Cave Johnson was Chell’s father, and Caroline, her mother (if you translate the turret song at the end of the game, and consider what GLaDOS said about Caroline, it shows that GLaDOS still had a little of Caroline inside her, before Caroline’s deletion).

What core is Wheatley?
The Intelligence Dampening Sphere, more commonly known as Wheatley, is a personality core of masculine programming and English West Country accent who appears in the single-player campaign of Portal 2.
Is Wheatley a cake core?
In Portal 2, we are informed that Wheatley was an Intelligence Dampening Sphere that was put on GLaDOS to make her dumber. Yet during Portal, when we get to GLaDOS, she only has 4 cores on her. Molarity Core, Curiosity Core, “Cake Recipe” Core, and Anger Core.
Does GLaDOS care about Chell?
Fourth, it perfectly reflects the love/hate relationship that GLaDOS feels towards Chell. There are so many lines throughout both games where GLaDOS lets a little sentimentalism leak out, then turns around to slam Chell, or where she basically says that it’s good to have Chell around to test her.

Is Chell Rattman’s daughter?
She also has brain damage, which explains why she cannot talk in the second game. In the events of the second game, Glados discovers she is Caroline (basically) and that Chell was her daughter.
